INVITED GRADUATE | REBECCA GRANT

We know how old we are; we count the years.

However, do you know how many days old you are?

If you do the math you come to the conclusion that the amount of days is a far more interesting way to measure age.

My practice is gathering individuals who have passed away and calculating the amount of days that individual lived. Over the past year I have slowly assembled a collection of individuals, each of them different, all of various ages. The assembled collection to me acts as a form of research when it comes to looking at the human lifespan, you see the routine, the ‘day after day’, you also see the ‘end’ because as humans we all wrestle with the certainty that one day we ourselves will eventually pass.
